The next Mayor of Alameda needs to have the vision and experience necessary to propel our community forward. Councilmember Tracy Jensen’s priorities are Alameda priorities:

• Ensure that Alameda is a well-run and transparent city, responsibly managing the city budget to deliver vital city services.
• Build upon Alameda’s reputation as a safe, stable, walkable, family-friendly community by implementing policies that reduce collisions.
• Continue fostering economic opportunity in Alameda with an emerging biotech and environmental sector supported by a green municipal utility.
• Work with the community to secure more housing for homeowners and renters at all income levels, with a focus on expanding affordable housing options.
• Continue Alameda’s climate leadership and address the risks of sea level rise.
• Secure the opening of the first Alameda Aquatic Center, giving all Alameda families access to a modern swimming facility.
• Establish the first Alameda Community Garden.
• Finalize a robust partnership between the city of Alameda and Alameda Unified School District to address the needs of youth experiencing mental health and social challenges.
